My client who suffers from a Mental Illness has been getting calls and letters stating that she will be taken to court if she does not pay up front $550 for a "bad check" she wrote back in 2003. I advocated for client to assist her with the matter as she does not have the capacity to handle the situation on her own. I have contacted them numerous of times, asking for proof and not once have they provided me with the evidence.
They are giving me the run around.
