I had a disagreement with my spouse & felt it best I stay somewhere else for the night. I went to a hotel close to my home to rent a room for the night. I approached the front desk and was greeted by a young lady. I requested to rent a room and after the lady checked the computer she said there was a room available and requested my Id. I pulled my CA. Drivers License (CDL) out to hand to the lady. I had cash in hand for the room, which I set on the counter as the lady began to reach for my CDL At the same time she did this the lady states I will need a credit card also. I began to say a friend who recommended this hotel stated that they (Days INN) regularly accepts a deposit. As I said this the girl also now added. That, "Oh it's afte 10:00 pm & we don't accept cash after 10:00. I stood there in awe and said excuse me. The lady repeated herself adding that the reason is for security. The time I walked in was 10:00 pm, after waiting for someone to come out to the desk and dealing with the lady I am denied service.
I don't under stand this.

My friend who recocommended the hotel had also given me a ride there. My friend was in shock this happened stating she has rented a room there without a credit card at midnight. To prove a point my friend and I drove & got a soda & went back to the hotel where my friend stated she would rent a room with cash.

So about 30 mins later I sit here typing this iat the hotel that denied service to me but shortly after allowed my friend to rent a room. I am 40 year old black female and my friend a 30 year old hispanic female. I am beside myself and very angry this happened to me. I had a strok 2 months ago so my environment and my health is crucial. I don't understand why I was discriminated against.
