We were contacted by this company right after signing with the BBB. They said they helped small businesses receive grants. We had a banker and a lawyer check them out. Everything seemed on the up and up. No red flags. We had all the right questions to ask and they gave us all the right answers. They even gave us a company we could call that they said used them and we got a rave review for the service. We went ahead and sent the money. It took us about 4 months to do all the research before sending them anything. We were guaranteed, in writing, $75,000. If we did not receive that amount, Mutual Benefits would refund any unused portion of our retainer and work for free until the minimum funding request was fulfilled. They told us that within 16 weeks of sending the money, we would begin receiving our grant money. The 16 weeks has gone by and we have heard nothing and have not been able to get in contact with the company. Their number has been disconnected. I looked them up through the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and they do not exist. They made a Facebook page and when I checked that out, I found several other hard working people have also sent money and received nothing. We did not go into this blindly and are quite embarrassed by this mishap. The only thing that helps us is knowing we are not alone. We would love to have these people brought to justice and our money returned.
