I befriended Eric on facebook in March. We chatted until 6/5. He talked of romance and how he fell in love with me and I had no reason to doubt him. On the evening of June 5 he said he was in Asia and needed $2,000.00 to pick up a check for his deceased father. He wanted me to lend him money and I told him i didn't have it. He wanted me to max out my cc and bank account and said if i didn't that it meant i wouldn't stand by him. I told him I didn't have the money (right then I knew it was a scam.) This person who supposedly loved me has not contacted me since 6/5. Recently i found another woman he tried to scam and he romanced her, likeme, and asked her for money. She did not give him any money and he never contacted her again. So now we have two people with broken hearts. My concern is that this is a big operation and other people will be suckered into giving money. Eric, if that is his name, has a middle eastern accent but is from Wales, which doesn't make sense. I think there are some people out there trying to scam others for money so they won't have to work. I didn't lose any money but was left with a broken heart. Eric and whoever he is working for need to be stopped.
