I was notified that I qualified for this loan from Falcon Legal Funding and my loan officer was Ms. Cathy Banks, all I had to do was send them $1637.91 to a Mr. Richard Edwards of Kingston, Jamaica and the loan proceeds will be deposited into my account. Then it was a call from Ms. Cathy Banks requesting additional funds of $500.00 to pay for the transfer of the loan proceeds. It was here I called the Bank of Jamaica and the Financial Services Commission of Jamaica and they informed me that Falcon Legal Funding is a company that conducts business here in Jamaica however they do not regulate them. Falcon Legal Funding then sent me a letter of guarantee signed by Ms. Nancy McCormack stating that if I sent these funds I would receive the loans proceeds within 15-20 minutes. Thus I stupidly sent the other $500.00 payable to again Richard Edwards of Kingston Jamaica. Of course I did not receive the loan proceeds, instead I recieved a call from Ms Cathy Banks who informed me that the loan proceeds have been transfered, however the Jamaican government is holding the funds and I have to pay an additional $400.00 to have them released. Otherwise I had to pay $380.00 to request a return of my investment and this would take approx 30 days to complete. I should have stopped all communication at this point, however I was in too deep and really needed to receive these loan proceeds. I sent the $400.00 this time to a Ms. Maxine Thompson again of Kingston, Jamaica. Now today 06-11 they attempted to extort another $400.00 from me and I finally told them that was not possible and instead I was going to provide all this paperwork to my lawyer to see what could be done. Ms Cathy Banks called me and informed me that I will be receiving the loan proceeds by Tuesday morning 06-12. I have this very unlikely noting the comments that I have just found on the internet about dealing with Jamaican loan brokers. I would appreciate some help on this as I have invested too much and now am running into finanical problems.
