I worked for Hudson Energy for apx. 3 months. When I applied I was promised to receive $ 500.00 for my time for their training that I was to receive from this company. I received nothing. Their training consist of memorizing a script to tell your customers when you greet them. You need to go door to door to collect gas and electric bills. You have no company information to supply to the customer if they ask. And most all of them do. I would if someone knocked on my door and asked for my gas and electric bills. Since you are an Independent Commercial Consultant (thats a joke) you received no base payment at all. You only get paid commission if any. Hudson first tells you you will be paid $ 60.00 per Therm., then when you have a contract signed they pay you whatever they feel. I was expecting $600.00 for my first contract when I was finally paid, a month later, I received $400.00 when I questioned this I was told they had to lower my rate to get the customer to a satiable cost bracket. After several more weeks I got 2 more contracts signed the 2 together should have totaled $750.00. Again a month later I was paid $444.00. And of course I was told the same excuse. I kept asking about my $500.00 for my training and was told they would look into it. They never did, I finally got fed up with them and resigned. I told my manager at my meeting that I was tired of the lies and deceptive practices that were being used, and he just he laughted and told me that he did not understand what I was refereing to, that I must have misinterpreted his words. I asked him again where was my training payment, and also the contract that I was to have signed. He told me that I needed to sell gas contracts to receive any type of training money and I only sold electric. I was also told my contract would be mailed to me, which you are informed at hire in, I am still waiting. I also found out that customers of mine had faxed in bills to the office with my business card attached and he gave them to another salesman. When I questioned him on that I was informed he did not know who they belonged to so he gave them to the person who he though was working the area. You have no set area, you are tripping over one another, Hudson Energy hires anyone who is willing to work for nothing. I could go on and on about the deception but I could write a book. My advise is to STAY AWAY from this company!!! Be it sales or a customer. You will be sorry
