Unauthorized Credit Card charge of $14.95 or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina or Rock Falls, Illinois

I received a call from my Bank to tell me that Mastercard notified them of a vendor's database of credit card numbers had been stolen. My bank said that MC would not tell them which vendor had the security breach. They also told me to watch my CC statements for false charges. They cancelled my old card and are issuing me a new one.

When I received my statement I noticed the charge of $14.95 by Kurtz Enterprises #4 Myrtle Beach SC. I notified my bank immediately and they first started giving me the runaround, which I thought was odd since they originally notified of the issue.

The credit card co. Will be sending me a form to fill out so they can investigate the issue. I have no idea if they will actually pursue this issue or not.

The issue will ultimately be resolved, but my biggest gripe is that I cannot know which vendor I bought from has the poor security.

Keep checking you statements for invalid charges!
