I have been called, sometimes more than once in a day, from a local area code. When I've returned the call once, I spoke to a man and I told him I wasn't interested (maybe 2 days ago). I answered the phone this morning, and the girl was asking how I would be using the money and that I could apply for assistance. She asked for my debit card number and stated it would only be charged $4.95. She said I could certainly afford this compared to all the debt that I now wouldn't have to pay. I kept trying to tell her I wasn't interested and she asked for my reason. I kept saying I didn't have the money, and I needed to look them up. She started getting more aggressive about how this is straight from the government to help people in light of the recession. I finally had to just hang up.
