They charged $390.00 to investigate an issue with a mixer. The charge was $300.00 non refundable & $90.00 rush charge. They said they let the mixer run all day and it displayed no problems. No work done, still $390.00. Charge. Arrangements were made to pick it up the following morning at which time the owner of the mixer (my client) was told that they found some things wrong with it after all and were going to proceed with those repairs. They have a "policy" in which they can charge up to $625.00 in repairs without authorization. We had planned to work around the initial problem and continue working in order to try and keep on schedule, now we are told we will have to wait untiul a tech arrives to reassemble the mixer and they will call when that happens.
