My Target card (which I have now cancelled) had it's credit limit reduced without notice and apparently for no reason. I usually pay it in full due to the high interest rate, but have let it carry a small balance the last couple of months. When I went to make a purchase at their store, the card was declined. So I called and they said the available credit limit had been lowered without my knowledge, though they didn't know why given my stellar history with them. Never going over the limit or paying late. Apparently this is perfectly legal, they don't have to notify you for up to 30 days AFTERWARD. Now they've lost me as a customer because this is the last straw with them. I'd rather go to Walmart, and that says a lot because I absolutely HATE Walmart.
