I received a telephone call from Associated Accounting of Florida saying they could put me on a plan where I would be debt free in 5 years. They guaranteed 0% interest for 5 years on all CITI cards & would negotiate lowest possible interest on Discover card for 5 years. They charged my CITI card $899 fee & guaranteed a minimum savings of at least $2000 overall in interest & finance charges. The so called "financial advisor" Laura insured me that she would take care of all my credit card debt by combining it all onto 2 cards with 0% interest for 5 years allowing me to have all debt paid off & with a lower monthly payment besides. As it turns out all that was done was balance transfers which I could have done myself & I was billed a total of $993 in transfer fees. Of course I have not been able to talk to Laura & she never returns calls. I tried calling again today & now the phone# is disconnected.
