Sweepstakes winners will be notified by phone and certified mail after each sweepstakes drawing, which occurs every three months. Along with the certified mail package, the sweepstakes administrator will ask you to complete a form to confirm your identity and eligibility to participate in the sweepstakes.

Walmart or our representatives will never email you to collect personal information for the sweepstakes. If you are emailed by anyone claiming to be such persons, for security reasons, please do not provide it.

Protect yourself.internet scams are all too common these days – don’t jeopardize your security. Please follow these simple guidelines to minimize your risk.

“Phishing” is the use of fraudulent emails, copy-cat websites, or pop-ups to trick you into revealing personal information — such as account numbers, credit accounts, and social security numbers. Legitimate companies don’t ask for this information via email – don’t supply it. To make sure you’re on the website you want, look at the URL to verify it’s the correct one; beware of potentially confusing or misleading site identifications, such as subtle misspellings in the URL
Report it — If you suspect you have received a phishing email, DON’T respond to it. Simply forward the email to us at abuse@walmart.com. To help us investigate, please don't cut and paste the email, change the subject line, or forward it as an attachment. You can also report it to Homeland Security at phishing-report@us-cert. Gov, or to the FTC at www.ftccomplaintassistant. Gov if you think you’ve been a victim.
Beef up your security — Security software packages (with anti-virus, anti-spam, and spyware detection) are useful for those who engage in online financial transactions. Look for encryption via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, commonly shown by a closed padlock in the lower right corner of your screen. Do not click on links or attachments unless you trust the source. This is a Copy of what they told me.
