Forced into store card without knowledge

I am writing this message because of this bill and the card it represents. My father is an 89 yr old gentleman with mild to moderate dementia. Knowing him, I know he is not capable of understanding that he was signing up for a new credit card or of filling out any type of application. He lives at a retirement community that brings him shopping and he has his driver’s license (for ID purposes only) a credit/debit card for purchases. He probably just agreed with the check out person because he was confused and thought she meant that he was putting it on his card. He does not even live at the address where the card went or the bill. It was just by chance that I received this bill at all. I feel that his best interest was not at all respected; it is beyond obvious to a normal person that he did not make this decision in sound mind, As I have worked retail, I understand the pushes and pressures you expect of your people. I am disappointed that someone took advantage of my father and have not decided how to progress with this event. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very understanding and took the charges off for the simple reason that the address was not even valid. Since the majority of your customers are elderly in that area, I feel that your staff should be educated on not pushing a already confused man into a scam to get him a Credit Card he did not need, Nor did it even offer him a percent off. There was no reason for this other than your company becoming so big and forgetting the person that keeps you going. The old man looking to buy a shirt and a couple of things without being taken advantage of.
Shame on you.
