Miscellaneous

I responded to a radio advertisement announcing a chance to receive a $2000.00 savings/rebate on groceries. I agreed to give it a try and allowed the person I was speaking to charge me a "one time fee" of $24.99. I received their "packet" in the mail, read the details and thought I'd give it a try soon. Then I received two more "packets" from companies called "Savings to Go" and "Everyday Bargains". Thinking it was part of the same $2000.00 savings/rebate I mentioned earlier, I put them with that packet and decided to get to them later. Come to find out that when I originally spoke to the person and agreed to pay the "one time fee" he somehow scammed me into agreeing to enroll in the other two programs for a fee of $14.95 a month. I just now realized I have been charged these fees for 3 months. What a fool I feel like! Never again will I trust any one trying to sell me something over the phone. What about the radio station that allowed this advertisement to be broadcast? Don't they investigate what they're putting out there to there listening audience? The fact that my favorite radio station allowed the advertisement to be broadcast falsely made me think that the deal must be legit. Lessons learned the hard way. What can I say?
