I had received a few text messages in April from Mob-shack. The first text that I received said that my access had been renewed for $9.99. I ignored this message as I had never signed up for a service with Mob-shack so I thought it was sent in error and the message was not even addressed to me. I received another text a few days later with the same message. Upon doing some online research, I was informed that I should reply with "STOP" in order to stop these messages.

The messages stopped but I received my cell phone bill today and it showed a charge of $29.95. When asked what this was for they said it was for MobShack. I explained that I had never signed up for anything and I didn't even know what this company was and they didn't care. She said I would have to take it up with them and on fact the manager I spoke with said what MobShack does is completely legal.

I am very upset and sad to see that this has happened to many others. I will be writing a letter to MobShack, and to my MP because if this is legal, we should be taking action to stop this. As well, will be writing a letter to CTV as they often do pieces on scams.

Can anyone else on this board say if they actually resolved this issue and got a refund back for the charges?
