Paid but Still on Credit Report - CBE Group

I had a Direct TV account 81274130 which was paid in full. I was disputing the final bill with Direct TV because they were charging me an early termination fee when I closed the account in July. They subsequently forwarded it to CBE Group for collection. Knowing it would hurt my credit I paid the bill and asked that it be removed from my credit report. It is still on my credit report. The Direct TV account is not on the credit report as such because I owe them nothing. The CBE Group, listed this as a collection account number 51807XXXX. Direct tv is not listed anywhere as debtor. I owe CBE group nothing. I have applied for 2 loans and both time I have been denied because of this collection account. I was disputing Direct tv because of billing procedures. They were charging for services under contract which had not begun and charging for equipment under contract months under contract after some had expired and I had to negotiate their "pre-billed" services to end the contract. CBE Group needs to remove this from my credit report. Direct TV has. If CBE Group does not and it damages my credit further, it will be an unfair practice by CBE group. Direct TV s looking to do business with me. I refuse to do business with them until CBE group removes this from my credit report. This will be the first step in the process. If it is not removed, I will begin a legal process.
