I ordered a gift card for www.Overstock.com for $15.00 and in return was promised a gift card for $25.00 towards Overstock products. I was told I could not get card until January 13th after ordering it on December 23. My debit card was charged December 23. I set my alarm on my phone to go off and remind me on January 13th of 2011. That day I went to redeem my gift card and was told that I would have to wait for it to be sent by mail and that it could take up to 2 weeks. I waited the two weeks, even though it didn't make any sense because Overstock is an online company and should have just sent me a promo code to use to redeem gift card instead of waiting for a paper one through the mail. I tried calling the company at least 50 times and I would wait about 10 minutes just to get a recording that told me to leave my information and that they would call me back. I left my information and they never called me back. I tried calling Overstock and they attempted to contact the company for me, without success. I looked over the Terms and Conditions and found another company listed so I called them and they attempted to contact the company, without success. I was informed that I should dispute the charges with my debit card company and was lucky to get the money back from my bank. But after all the hassle, I don't even know if they were reimbursed by the company. I spent so many hours trying to fix my mistake. Please do not make the same one as me. There were hundreds, if not thousands taken for a ride by this company. They offered a product and never made due on their promises. They took customer money and ran without delivering.
