Not for Women?!

I just saw the Dr. Pepper 10 commercial with the "not for women" slogan and am disgusted. Until today, Dr. Pepper was the soda that my family drank. From hereon out, however, we'll find a different, non-sexist company to purchase our sodas from.

Maybe before the marketing team chose to go with the stereotype that men are afraid of diet drinks that are 'for' women, they should have thought instead about the stereotype that women do all the grocery shopping. For a lot of households, this stereotype is one that holds true, and this woman (along with her female friends that are also responsible for the majority of shopping for their own families) will no longer be supporting Dr. Pepper.

Pull these offensive commercials and publicly apologize to the women you've offended with your "tongue-in-cheek" commercial. (And maybe hire a marketing team that can successfully portray "humor" while you're at it!)
