Refusal to terminate service

Having tried Comwaves service for about two weeks, we tried to cancel by phone 3 times. Thinking that this had been accomplished I kept receiving charges to my Credit card. It was necessary that I cancel my Credit card and have a new one issues to avoid being charged for a service I did not need. I am now getting e-mail telling me I am overdue on my account. Who are these people and what are they trying to accomplish?
