Received a call from a lady saying they were connected with Microsoft and that my computer is being corrupted and might crash, so would I turn it on and a technician would run through it. That he did, and showed me a long trail of errors made and/or Warnings! It showed that it was 96.14 % corrupt and was about to crash soon. So they ran throught the plans for tech. Service, and I chose the one year plan for $199. Then I had to fill out name, address, email, and phone no. And then went through the credit card business. Later after the bank ok'd the chg. At my approval, a technician called and ran thru the first Qtr. Clean up! Being in India, I could barely understand him. After I looked at Google today, I found other people scammed. I reported this company to the Fraud Dept. Of Chase Bank. The account was closed and fraud reported to the credit bureaus. The original technician I talked to was Ron Wilson, microsoft certified technician, employee id# 004. This has been extremely upsetting to me, as I am 74 years old and I have never fallen for the bothersome phone calls telling them I don't do business over the phone. Well, they caught me at a weak spot I guess.
