Fiorini Rental: Not a vacation place but a big mess waiting to happen

Water, water everywhere, on he floors, the beds, sofa. I should have known when the caretaker took us through a runddown neighborhood, complete with an abandoned motel on the corner, to a house that looked nothing like the photo on this site. The smell was awful, but that was probally due to the wet furniture. The shower was a horror, we bleached it, but still wore shoes in it. The shower did not drain very well so we were still standing in water. It rained on Saturday and when we returned from the rain forest, I thought the waterfalls there had followed us back. Water was cascading down the wall at an air vent, someone had placed a trash can under the waterfall but the bed was wet and so were all the floors. We used towels to dry up as much as we could, no one showered that night. I e-mailed the owner that we were moving to hotel and my friend called the caretaker, but she advised we move the bed. I was on vacation not at this house to clean.
