I received a check for $2400. And the letter was a survey that suggested I deposit the money into my bank account and retrieve the funds to carry out a WU test and I would get to keep 300. However, there is no way that I was going to send that amount of money to a mystery person. They would have been out of money if I was able to cash elsewhere. The check is fake and I called the bank and the school and they said that the scams have caused problems with their verification process for lagitimate checks due to students. It's a shame that people are getting caught up in these scams.
