I always wanted a web store and thought SMC was the way to go.
I thought I did my homework too.
Paid over $2500 to get the "full product" web-site. Then there was the $395 to get my gateway for payment.
After making only 1 sale (to a friend) in a year "Inovative Merchant Solutions" dropped me because I did not have enough sales. So after paying $395 plus $19.50 a month plus my $29.95 for web hosting I'm just flushing away my money.

Got ABSOLUTELY NO help from e-merchant club. Just suggestions on how to give them more of my money.
When I complained about being dropped by Inovative, I got no satisfaction from SMC.
I put my store inactive for 6 months and if I want to re-open it will cost me $29.95 and then my $29.95 a month... FORGET IT!!!

I own my domain and will keep that.
DO NOT fall into the SMC Web trap.
Go to someplace like Godaddy.com and get your web site there you can pay a lot less. You can still sell SMC stuff if you want.

As far as the spokespeople they employee... Pay me big bucks and I'll say what you want too.
Keep me in mind for any classaction there may be.
