Today, I received a letter that had "LEGAL NOTICE Prompt Response Required" on the outside of the envelope.inside was a check from FAA for $2,342, 000.00 that had do not cash under the signature. The letter wanted me to confirm three questions and then forward a Transmittal Authorization and check for $20.00 to PO Box 527800 in Miami, FL.

I was suspicious and decided to check out FAA on the internet. Thanks to the internet and this website, I was alerted and can happily trash this misleading piece of scam.
