Grossly overcharged

After I purchased a lens at a reasonable price in November I went back in March to return the lens in favour of a SIGMA 18-250 zoom lens. I like to emphasize that I did NOT research the price of this lens prior to going into the store, just the features. I was assured that there would be no problem returning the other lens anytime within the first year. They had the lens I wanted in stock. The price they salesperson quoted was supposed to be well over $1,500.00 Because I was considered a returning customer they were "willing to sell the lens to me for $985.00", less the trade-in for the previously paid for lens ($463.00). Since I also needed a new camera bag and backup-battery, the final bill came to over $750.00. The next day I returned to purchase an automatic flash and was told they had a very special flash for my camera (a BOWER Auto Focus SFD 35C) at $387.81, including tax. Upon returning home with access to my computer I found out the following:- The SIGMA 18-250 RETAILS at SIGMA for $750.00 plus tax.- The BOWER Auto Focus Flash retails at the BOWER site for $89.00!! When I complained by telephone I was told by Tony that there is a new flash coming from BOWER and they would give me that one in exchange for the one they sold me. This is not true. BOWER does not have any plans to come out with a new flash that is even remotely close to the price Premium Electronics changed me. Now, let me emphasize again: It is totally my fault. Premium Electronics saw me coming and I fell for it. This complaint should simply serve as a warning to others to be more careful and to make sure that they know beforehand the RETAIL price of the items they want to purchase.
