Landlords in TX Beware - Tenants caused $25,000 worth of damages

Bill & Doris Carmicheal rented a house from us for four years. Last month, they stopped paying rent. They agreed to move out by July 15.

The moving company showed up to move their belongings and refused because it smelled so bad. We were finally able to get in the house and found they destroyed the house. There was dog and human urine/feces everywhere. They had smeared it on the walls and smashed in the carpets. There are holes in every wall, all doors are destroyed, closet doors are missing. Moldings around windows and doors are damages. Windows are all broken. Window sills are missing. Deck on back of house needs to be replaced due to excessive dog feces. Basement door won't close because dog feces is built up underneath door. A restoration company had to go in with full body suits and respirators because of the smell!

This man is/was in the US Navy. Wife worked for WalMart.

They left all their trash, furniture, food, etc. For us to dispose of.

We had estimates of damages in excess of $25,000.

They have moved to Texas. Landlords beware!!! These people will destroy whatever you own Get references!
