This happened in Pleasanton, CA. An Asian woman in her early 20's was accompanied by a dorky, tall white guy asking for a donation to a children's hospital. She was speaking very fast, acting erratic, and claimed the dorky white guy was her bodyguard. She collected a check from my husband in the amount of $59. My husband told me about it and I instantly knew it was a scam. He showed me the receipt and we tried to call the numbers and they were fake. Luckily, I got these two on my surveillance camera and reported the incident to the Pleasanton Police and they are investigating it.
