Miscellaneous

A young girl came to our house stating she was selling magazine subscriptions to earn points for a trip with her school. She seemed nice enough but rather pushy. She asked to come inside so she could rest while she gave her speech. She asked questions about me and my fiance', then asked if she could have a drink. I gave her a bottle of water and then picked out the magazines to order. I selected Bridal Guide, Motorcyclists, Rod & Reel plus 3 or 4 others totaling $131.00. About a month ago I received what I thought was one of my first magazines. It ended up being Maxim. About a week after that I received another magazine, this time Playboy. While my fiance' was thrilled, I wasn't. This isn't what I ordered. I don't even remember those magazines being on the list! I did a google search on the company and found the numerous complaints, including those filed with the BBB. I haven't tried calling the number on the website yet. From what I've read there doesn't seem to be much point. I have contacted my bank to see if there is anything they can do since I paid via check.
