I was initally called in October by a company called Leisure Plus and somehow I was later offered free magazines that weren't free at all. I was charged $40 for 3 magazines and then after months went by I have 1,100 plus dollars in collections for this! I just got off the phone with Kristen Robins at Loss Prevention (the number for anyone who wants it is 1-888-697-2732) and the best she could do is offer me $224 to cancel my account. That's for 3 magazines... This company is such a scam and I don't know what else to do but agree to pay. I told her I am not comfortable giving any of my bank info to anyone associated with this company and asked to get a bill for the money owed so I can send a money order.
Has anyone gotten out of their collection charges after it went to collections?
