I got a text with this link "prize-patrol.net/walmart/". I said to enter "GIVE" code, which I did. The next page was (designed for mobile) said I can get a free $1,000 Walmart gift card. There is a time counter (which is at 40 seconds now) and it says "Valid Code. Claim Prize Now!". It's asking me for my name, email, and Cell. Well, as soon as I see the "Cell" number request, I assume a scam.

I have lost nothing, I don't mind entering my email, because it's a junk email box, but no one should have to enter their cellphone number.

The clock ran out, and nothing happened, it's still waiting for my information. So the clock itself is just another scam to get you to sign up as quickly as possible. It's just like a phishing site.

There are 560 people after the "f: Like" (for Facebook Like). It doesn't seem too likely that anyone is liking this, it can't be done on this page anyhow. The like button is inactive, another scam.

I entered haha haha for my name and my email, but not my cell phone number, and I entered the onlinegiftpanel.com site. It is asking for my zip code, and the legal terms below specifically say that it's not affiliated with the above merchant (Wal-Mart, there is still the picture of a $1,000 Walmart gift card), etc. It also says that "Participation Required". Well, that's not always legal, at least for purchases?

I entered 12345 for the zip code and it's now asking me for my full name, address, email, birthdate, cellphone, and home number. "By clicking continue I have read and agree to OnlineGiftPanel.com's Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, which includes providing my signature expressly requesting a return phone call and/or SMS text from this list of Marketing Partners based on my answers to the following survey pages. I also agree to receive pre-recorded messages from WCA and CRC."

No thanks, I do not want to be harassed. It doesn't seem likely that I'll ever get this $1,000 gift card if I were to participate as required.

I just got another text, taking me to the similar onlinegiftgadgets.com. I went further, and I have to complete any 2 offers below, examples are "Netflix", "Credit Reports.com", "$100 Walmart Voucher!", etc. Just to claim my "Free iPhone 5!"
There is no iPhone 5, and they even have a rumored picture of what it may look like. A very clear scam, for a product that doesn't exist!
