Scam outfit using walmart's name

Got a scam text message saying I'd won a $1000 gift card from walmart. Even if I wasn't already on alert by getting such a message, I knew it was a scam. I've never given walmart or any other company my cell number. It's a no brainer. Please stop blaming walmart. It's not them.
