Prestonwood Hills Apartments

I gave them a $35 deposit (written on the check) for a Gate Remote. When I moved out I returned the remote but they would not return my deposit, stating that it was a FEE. Nothing in the Contract about a $35 FEE to access the property. Please note they disabled the Universal Gate Access as well, so without this remote I was unable to gain access to my own apartment.

They also did not disclose in advance a $3.75/month Consolidated Statement Fee

Hidden Fees are a violation of State Laws in Texas.

I had other issues too with the front office telling me they had DirecTV throughout the complex when in fact they did not. I had to move apartments when I first got there because of my contract with DirecTV. Also nieghbors making a lot of noise that the front office failed to properly handle.

I always paid my rent on time and lived there for one year before I bought a house in North Dallas.
