I bought a buffalo nickle50 $ piece suppose to be pure 24 karat gold not fake

I bought a 50$ gold buffalo nickel piece was suppose to be 24 karat gold from the national collecters mint. I took it to be evaluated its not gold it was gold plated! This is unfair advertisement and leads people to believe they are getting somthing worth wild. I feel cheated.
