Miscellaneous

"Company Travel Network" called me wanting to pay upwards of $1500/w for my timeshare "bonus weeks"; only catch was that I would have to pay for said weeks out of my pocket, and then sign the rights over to CTN. I would then need to wait 10-15 weeks to be compensated. Being the investigating type that I am, I started doing background check information while on the phone with them, including phone number & website registration dates. A search for their website produces zero results, but you can get to it directly by typing into the address bar. The website was registered on 2/1 with GoDaddy, the 866 number was registered on 01/16. Both people who spoke with me "Peter Figueroa" & "Laura Michaels" assured me that their company has been handling large clients for many years. When I asked why the website & phone were only recently registered, they stuttered & said that they just went through a recent reorganization, and due to unforeseen circumstances had to create a new website. When asked what the old website was, Ms. Michaels said she didn't know. I said thanks, but no thanks, I do not feel comfortable with a transaction like this. Also, I guess they just changed their name again, because it says "Continental Company Travel Network" on the website now.
