Miscellaneous

A man met me on Skype claiming to be Brigadier General Herbert R. McMaster in the US army, posted in Afghanistan, and befriended me. At first we chatted and made normal smalltalk. After awhile he asked me to marry him and told me he was nearing retirement and wanted to come here for a holiday to meet me. He said he needed to send me some parcels belonging to him containing documents clothes and books, but most importantly documents (looking back I see how stupid I was to believe him and not have my suspicions aroused) which would help him to obtain leave from Afghanistan. He said there were some UN diplomats in Ghana and that I had to send them some money by moneygram. They sent me emails showing that everything was in order and foolishly I was taken in. They said the FBI and Interpol know about these parcels. They then wanted more money and said that the parcels were now in London Heathrow and I needed to send more money for documents. After awhile I began to get suspiscious and scared. They were calling my mobile number and sending me emails asking for more and more money giving many elaborate and official looking excuses.in total they scammed me out of about 5,000 pounds.
