Our company does international trade shows, and before we were going to one of the shows, we received a form in the mail that said "Exhibitors Directory for Fairs and Guides" listing at the top. The form already had our vendor info listed, but the address was slightly wrong. The form said it was for informational purposes in their fair guide listing. We corrected the form and sent it back. A month later we received an invoice for $1700 stating we had signed up for a three year contract and that it was irrevocable only if written cancellation was sent by registered letter within ten days of the order date. Well, we did not even receive this notice/invoice until a month later. We did not pay the invoice, but now are getting invoices with penalty charges added on because we did not pay. Anyone have any ideas how to get out of this? It is impossible to contact this company.
