Thought I too was helping someone out in a bind by giving some money for some jackets as he had to leave back to Italy. Same story as everyone else here, didn't want to pay huge taxes, showed me tickets, showed me car rental agreement, explained how nice and expensive they were. Said he was in town for a fashion show at Moscone Center in SF. Seemingly really nice guy, very heavy italian accent, skinny build. This all occured at Chase Bank parking lot in MIllbrae Ca. Nothing will probably come of this but maybe someone will read this and be more cautious then I was. It was a dumb move on my part as I'm usually really skeptical about these types of things.
