My car was in an accident and i told Tidewater to come and pick it up because i was giving it back. They filed a claim with my insurance company and got paid then sold the car. It was a little over 3000.00 left to pay. They are now taking me to court. I tried to settle this with them but the attorney they have said if i settle they will still put a judgement on my credit. How can they have it both ways? I would like to pay them 100.00 monthly until this debt is paid. This should not be a judgement on my credit since i am willing to pay. I can not afford to have my check garnished. I am a single parent just trying to make it.
