December 26, I saw an ad for Aura Vie, a "risk free" trial offer of a new skin care system. I signed up and was notified by email that my order was being shipped the next day. I received the product within a few days. On January 10 I checked my bank account and found that they had deducted $97.88 from my account. I emailed them, gave them my phone number, and asked them to call me to explain this charge to my account. On January 16, I received an email from them saying they could not reach me by phone, so could I please call them at 866 216-9336. I called them and a woman named Sandra said I should have seen on the web page that by trying their offer, I was obligated to buy their product at $97.88 per month. I told her that I did not see that anywhere on their web page, and even double checked it. She said if I agreed not to dispute this with my bank, they would refund 30% of my money, which amounts to less than $30.00. Again, I checked their web site to find where it says I agree to buy their products. It's not there! I again contacted them and told them I had consulted with an attorney and was told that I not only could get my money back, but could sue for punitive damages, as I broke out in a rash soon after using their product. I have documented every correspondence with them, and my first step is to turn it all over to my bank to try to get my money back. I would appreciate any help I can get as this company is a serious scam and needs to be taken off the internet.
