My wife noticed that $9.50 have been deducted from her creditcard for the last 7 months. Looking at the company doing it, you could not see who it was. She then went to the bank ABSA South Africa which then informed her that it was a dating club in the UK called GLOBAL PERSONALS UK. The bank then informed her that they cannot do anything about this matter as she had to contact them herself to stop these monthly deductions.
She cannot even switch an computer on. She have no clue how to get on to the internet. She made an decleration for fraud at the Police station regarding this matter as this dating organisation got her creditcard details somewhere els.
After endless ways to contact this company, which is VERY VERY clever with their way of defrauding old people and know exactly how this bank operate with their creditcard clients.
They do not respond to any emails, do not answer calls, you cannot print any of their info to get it in writing and so on.
It is so obvious that the bank also would NOT want to assist their client as bankfees is charged and that is their profit. So, they know exactly what to do to stall this matter for as long as they wish.
Very disappointed with this matter including absa bank south africa.
