TV Help Service Found Online Asked for Card Number Up-Front

I Googled them for some help with my tv. They sounded very positive and reassuring, asking for my credit card # up-front. Today I've got emails from them, but they don't go anywhere. I haven't yet checked my bank to see if the charge (or more) went through. Thank you for any help.
