Ramada Plaza Resorts
No refund is "not" a florida law!

Well Jill made it seem so great and we don't usually participate in anything like this but with such big names, Ramada Plaza Resorts and Imperial Magesty she made us believe it was a promotion for a new hotel. Duh! Should have known better. Gave her $698.00 down we had about 3 years to use it. We were going to give the gift package to my mother n law to go to Vegas. I called to verify that she could go before we went to Ft. Lauderdale that was ok, no mention we would have to pay the remainder for that to happen but I figured this would be what they wanted. Go to her house to make the reservation and this was indeed what had to be done but the customer service rep Joy also started to try to upgrade our room ($300.00) on the cruise ship which we were told when we agreed to this, was the best room up high on the ship. Joy said oh no this was a 10X10 room with bunk beds! Ok that's where we stopped our journey if they have lied about this what more was there to come. I requested a refund and was told it was non refundable and this wasn't Ramada's law it was FLORIDA LAW. I told her since I worked for the local government I would certainly check it out with one of the lawyers and she could notate that in her records. This is not a True statement and thanks to Cathy in Ozark, Alabama who took the time to share the number she called, upon being rude and persistent my husband was told we would receive a refund in 7-10 days. We are so glad to have found this website and being a Florida native I don't want these people to discourage tourist from coming to our beautiful state. Check with your local travel agencies they always have specials going on.in fact there was a Ft. Lauderdale / Imperial Magesty special for $129.99 pp which included port fees and taxes and the hotel stay in Sundays paper. So what on earth is the $698.00 for - To pay all of those customer rip off reps!!!
