I received a job offer via email to be a secret shopper from Shopatrite@homecall.co.uk, a Manuel Montel contacted me saying he was the hiring manager (mysterymanuel18@aol.com, and mmontel@blumail.com). They sent me moneygrams (3) for $965.10ea to deposit in my bank, take $300/secret shop, and wire transfer the rest to a woman in Manila. Even with the 2 day hold my credit union puts on checks, it took them a week to discover that the checks were counterfit. Of course, the credit union holds me responsible and have taken my last $200 and closed my accounts. I had to make copies of the emails I had received and bring them the western union paperwork from the wire transfers to prove I had been scammed to avoid prosecution.
