This company called my father in florida and got him to give out his checking account information. Once they got it they withdrew $73.71 from his account monthly at first and then biweekly and then randomly at least 1x per week. The bank in florida had set up an overdraft account with a credit card company and each time that $73.71 was withdrawn on an account that never had that much money in it there was a draw on the credit card for $100.00. My father told me that it must be for lawn service at first. When i went to florida to visit i saw the bank statements and called the corresponding # on the withdrawls and told them to stop withdrawing anything from his account. They stated that it was for 3 magazines and a sweepstakes entry. After i returned home the charges started again with a lapse of approximately 1 month.in september i went to the bank in ny and explained what was going on and they helped me to investigate the withdrawls—i closed the bank account. The bank never reported the fraud and the credit card company won't talk with me. I have contacted the manager of the bank in florida and he is trying to help me investigate and report this fraud.
