I have had a "Crock Pot" slow cooker for approx 35 years. I decided to purchase a new "Crock Pot" Stainless Steel and Black, Model SCV700-SS Slow Cooker. I have tried 3 times to use this product. I tried to cook crockpot candy two times and it burned in one hour on low. The recipe calls for cooking 3 hours on low, I only cooked on low for 1 hour and started smelling it burning. I have contacted "Crock-Pot" two times. The last time they proceed to tell me how to cook this recipe and that the temperature is different on the new crock pots. I can't cook any lower then LOW and I can't cook anything in 1/3 the time the recipe calls for any less time. They did not offer to replace this product or do anything to correct the problem. I even tried to have hot apple cider tea for Garden Club to keep warm on warm and it boils over. I think the CROCK POT company needs to know they are producing a bad product. My old crockpot cooked as it was suppose to cook on low for many hours or on high for fewer hours. You can't do either with the newer crock pot. I feel like I wasted my money with a product on the shelf to look at.
