Nationwide told us that they would help us modify our mortgage. We paid them $2500.00. They kept stringing us along and even when I wanted to pay the overdue mortgage payments, they told me not to. They kept telling me to keep paying all my other bills but not the mortgage. This went on for 1 year and a half. Once we owe the mortgage company $20,000, they stop contacting me and I could no longer contact them. Because of this I have had to file chapter 13 to try to keep my home.
