I purchased an extended automobile protection plan for a BMW vehicle with 100,590 miles on it to cover the vehicle for an additional 100,000 miles. I paid $299.00 by credit card on 7/27 with the additional payments of $157.56 to be paid over a period of 18 months. When I brought my vehicle in for service in September they denied a claim saying that the item to be repaired was not covered by the contract. However when I brought my vehicle again for service on a different matter this January the denied the claim because the mileage was incorrect at the time I contracted the
service with them. The mileage figure at the time of the September
2911 was lower than what I reported to them at the time of my contracting with them. When I went over the contract they sent I saw a higher number than what I gave them. Looking over the contract you have to be a philadelphia lawyer to catch it. When I called to address the issue with them I wast directed to a Company in
IL by the name of Gold Key Protection who administers claims. However then I found out I was speaking to people with telephone numbers in Texas, Alabama and Florida (because my phone recognized out of state numbers).
This company appears to run a scam nationwide, I am sure that other people have been scammed by them. They should be stopped.
