Miscellaneous

I got a phone call last night telling me that I was one of 7 winners in a $10 million dollar drawing. My name was on top so I got the largest portion of the winnings which was $3.5 million TAX FREE and already taken care of by the Federal Gaming Commission, and the rest of the money would be divided among the remaining 6 winners. I also won a 2012 Mercedes Benz S Class car and that State Farm would be paying for my first year's auto insurance. I had apparently filled out a drawing card back in May at a Wal-Mart, RiteAid, or other place. The address they gave me was 300-500 Carson Ave, Las Vegas, and the man's name was Floyd Logan. He did have an accent and I later realized he had a Jamaican phone number. The first number he gave me was 1-876-377-8933, and his personal number of 1-876-857-3751. He said UPS would arrive with a Certified Cashier's Check at 2:30 pm with 2 US Marshals who would escort me to the bank to deposit it, and I would receive my new car at that same time. I was to be ready to have my photo taken upon receipt of the winnings and not to disclose any of this ahead of time stating the confidentiality agreement. Today he said the car was already in my name and on the truck to be delivered. "However" I first needed to send him $275 to cover Germany's tariff tax and also $325 for the "Gold Stamp" the US required. He then proceeded to tell me how I was to wire him the money by Western Union.By this time I had already check his company out on the Internet and discovered it a fraud. My husband and I did not say it to him directly, but did ask for proof of the tax requirement stating we had to pay this. We asked him to email us this information. Of course, he did not call back or contact us as he knew he had been caught. I was amazed at all the detail he had and I was convinced last night that he was for real. Today little things he said started sounding odd so I looked up his information, which I should have last night. Just be aware that it CAN sound convincing! I did know that anyone asking for $ wouldn't be authentic, so he saved that part for last. I'm glad I found this website which verified my story was so much like the one I read. Thanks for allowing me to share mine.
