I replied to an ad for a free trial of vitamin tablets and a couple of weeks later had 2 payments taken from my account via my debit card totalling £140. The vitamins were from 2 different companies both advertising on the same ad on a webpage. Healthstore shop was one of them and biosomatic ltd is the other. They have each taken £70 and presumably are connected.

Both have said that I signed up for a subscription which I needed to cancel within 14 days to avoid these costs. I am very careful about reading small print and am positive that the ad did not state this.

I am disabled, housebound and rely on state benefits as my only income, these scam artists have taken my Christmas food money and as I have now had to cancel both my debit card and bank account to prevent them taking further money I have no way of shopping now until this mess is sorted out and I can open a new bank account.

I don't know how they sleep at night.
