Miscellaneous

They claimed I was identified as someone looking for a part time job. They sent a cashier's check for $3,460 issued by U.S. Bank, NA in St. Paul, MN 55107-1419. Said to deposit it in my bank account and funds would be available in about two days. I was to take $300 for my first week's pay, send $2,920 by Western Union to Janet Dixon in Mexico (and pay Western Union a $140 fee for the transfer), then go on a $100 shopping spree with the remaining $100. They indicated that the "research" that I would be doing would take place in a high-end store like SEAR'S, WAL MART, HOME DEPOT, VICTORIA'S SECRET, etc. I'm not the sharpest crayola in the box, but if these fools think they're going to fool someone into cashing a bogus check and giving them the money, they should at least check the spelling of their so-called major clients. I also noted that the farther you read in the letter, the more they mangle the English language. It would appear that the beginning of the letter was written by someone with a fair command of grammar and spelling, while the later paragraphs get more to the point with no concern for maintaining the writing style of the former. They essentially want anyone who is foolish enough to fall for this scam to send them the larger sum of money immediately. Stay away from these idiots. Some people I know actually fell for this and sent several thousand dollars by way of Western Union to someone in another country. They lost it all and had to pay it back to their bank when the check was proven to be bad. Report these fools to the authorities before the dupe someone else.
